Back in October Fudzilla asked Cristiano Amon, now President and Alex Katouzian VP and general manager of the mobile business at Qualcomm about the future of Gigabit LTE modems and we got a clear indication that things will be faster using the 1.2 GHz Snapdragon X20. The company has just announced that the Snapdragon X24 is the first 7nm chip and not only that, it supports 2Gbps speeds.

Instinct, artificial intelligence first
Lisa Su has announced Vega 7nm as a machine learning "instinct part" first. AMD is quite clear that this is for machine learning first and don’t want to comment on our curiosity whether Vega 7nm can make it to the market as a gaming product soon.
Without pointing any fingers and naming any names, Fudzilla had confirmation that Raja Koduri's successor to run the graphics side of the business will come from outside of AMD.
Way too early for that
Sorry to disappoint AMD fans but the new_chip.gfx10.mmSUPER_SECRET.enable [0: 0] is not Navi, as that is unlikely to show in 2018.
10nm Intel part
Kaby Lake G might not be the only flirtation between Intel and AMD (RTG), there are some future parts in the pipeline, too.
The one after Snapdragon 845
Korean based Etnews has mentioned that Qualcomm 7nm manufacturing has been a big win for TSMC while two other US and China customers chose Samsung’s 7nm. TSMC traditionially have dibs on Nvidia and MediaTek too.

Intel dropped the nuclear news on Wednesday that Raja Koduri will become its chief architect, snf senior vice president of the newly formed Core and Visual Computing Group, and general manager of a new initiative to drive "edge" computing solutions.
